Tucked away in the wild countryside of North Sardinia you will find our farm Stazzu Mus and its surrounding Good Food Forest. Our mission is to regenerate abandoned land to live in harmony with nature. We grow our own food, produce our own olive oil and distill aromatic essential oils. We inspire & educate by offering volunteering stays as well as organizing masterclasses in diverse topics such as music, sustainable living and bioscience. Meet the founders:
Eric & Annelien
Shortly after we fell in love with each other, our joined vision to create a home in nature was born. Our complimentary life experiences allow us to effectively fulfill this mission. Eric is a professional in construction and has years of experience in ecological design and building. His eye for detail, love for esthetics and gift for efficiency are valuable ingredients for building up a sustainable off grid paradise. Over time he has developed a passion for flowers, plants and trees and is now able to cultivate a large diversity on our land. Annelien is a scientist in biochemistry and is highly interested in the science that makes good food forests thrive. She infuses Eric’s passion for planting with dedicated research and careful observation. In our laboratory she will distill essential oils to produce natural products with amazing smells. She is an excellent communicator and teacher, passionate to share our ongoing insights and inspiration. Our motto is that good food brings a good mood: our joined passion for cooking and baking ensures that everyone on our land will feel energized, inspired and alive.
From construction and cultivation to inspiration and education
On our land all of our passions and expertise blend together in different brands. We kick off with the reconstruction of an old Sardian farm (stazzu) into a lifelong sustainable living, workshop and laboratory: Stazzu Mus. On our land we create a food forest and cultivate many native edible species: The Good Food Forest. With these facilities and food sources Eric will host future cultural and musical masterclasses in Studio Mus. Annelien will continue to educate kids and adults in Life Sciences at the Outdoor School of Science. In addition she will offer workshops in essential oil destillation and the creation of (skin) care products, supplemented with rejuvenating yoga classes.
